Menschen mein Antrieb. Mein Name ist Melissa Meyer, bin 31 Jahre alt und komme ursprünglich aus Nideggen, einer kleinen Stadt in der Eifel – zwischen Köln und Aachen. 2012 habe ich mein bilinguales Abitur in Düren (NRW) abgeschlossen und bin im selben Jahr noch nach Düsseldorf gezogen. An der MD.H Düsseldorf begann ich mein Mediadesign-Studium und konnte dieses 2016 als Jahrgangsbeste abschließen. Im Anschluss an mein Praxissemester bei BBDO Düsseldorf konnte ich dort während meines Studiums als freie Mitarbeiterin arbeiten. 2016 zog ich nach München um bei Serviceplan in der Campaign 3 zu starten – dort begann ich als Trainee und arbeitete mich bis zur Art Direktorin hoch. Im Frühjahr 2021 hat es mich dann zur Avantgarde Gesellschaft für Kommunikation verschlagen. Dort konnte ich meine Expertise im Bereich Event-Konzipierung, Roadshows und Marken-Aktivierungen erweitern. Seit September 2022 bin ich in Festanstellung als Senior Art Direktorin bei Saatchi & Saatchi tätig. Hier leite ich ein eigenes Team aus jungen, ambitionierten, weiblichen Nachwuchstalenten und engagiere mich zudem in leitender Funktion im Bereich Culture & People – mit dem Ziel, kreative Vielfalt zu fördern und ein inspirierendes Arbeitsumfeld mitzugestalten. Dabei ist mir eine Führung auf Augenhöhe wichtig: nahbar, unterstützend und mit echtem Interesse an den Menschen im Team. Was ich als Senior Art Direktorin so mache? Ziemlich viel – und ziemlich gern. Durch die Vielfalt unserer Kunden bringe ich einen sogenannten “bunten Blumenstrauß” an Kompetenzen mit. Immer her damit! Wofür ich brenne? Für Produktionen – vom ersten Moodboard bis zum finalen Schnitt. Ich liebe es, den Überblick zu behalten, mit allen Gewerken zu sprechen und dafür zu sorgen, dass am Ende alles sitzt – visuell und menschlich. Ich hab ein gutes Händchen für Kund:innen, verstehe ihre Bedürfnisse (und manchmal auch unausgesprochene Sorgen) und wage zu behaupten, dass ich fast immer eine Lösung finde, die alle happy macht. Ich arbeite eigenständig, strukturiert und gerne im Team. Kreative Ideen entwickle ich mit einem klaren konzeptionellen Denken und einem Blick für das große Ganze – medienübergreifend und praxisnah – besonders, wenn es um die Entwicklung Corporate Designs geht.
